The development is comprised of 57 attractive, well-kept homes, some with frontage on the lake. Northshore Village homeowners take pride in our community and in getting to know our neighbors. Social gatherings are held occasionally including an annual neighborhood Christmas party. Other amenities include access to a paved hike-and-bike trail system, part of the 11-mile loop around Pelahatchie Bay, nearby shopping, and excellent public school system.

History

NSV Dream StreetThe Northshore Village development was completed in 1990, soon after the causeway across Pelahatchie Bay was constructed to improve access to the north side of the lake. The causeway is actually a converted railway embankment, which some residents still refer to as “the trestle.” The  Dream Street Showcase, a lineup of custom homes by prominent local builders, kicked off homebuilding in the neighborhood. Full build-out of the subdivision was completed within a few years.

NSV Homeowner’s Association

All property owners are members of Northshore Village Homeowner’s Association. The NSV HOA has a Board of Directors elected annually by the residents. Annual dues are assessed to each homeowner to provide funds for maintenance of common areas, entrance lighting, and other miscellaneous needs. NSV HOA dues are $400/year, paid in February. An annual meeting of all homeowners is held in early summer, typically outdoors in the Northshore Place cul-de-sac.

Northshore Village HOA has an Architectural Review Committee to review and approve any major new construction within the neighborhood. Home additions or major modifications, including major landscaping modifications, must be approved by the Architectural Review Committee in advance. An Architectural Review Application can be found in the Document Library.

Protective Covenants

Northshore Village has adopted protective covenants to sustain the good appearance of our neighborhood and control activities that would be disruptive or unsightly. A link to the protective covenants is provided in the Document Library.
